Both of Marshfield’s teams at the 14th Annual Les Schwab Tires South Coast Holiday Basketball Tournament in Coos Bay Thursday won their opening games to advance to today’s championship semi-finals. The Pirates girls won 57-41 over Junction City, while the boys won 61-40 over North Valley. Marshfield’s girls will now play North Valley at 8:45 p.m., while the boys take on Junction City at 7 p.m. in the main gym on campus.
