The Coos History Museum will feature John Whitty on December 5th, 6:30 p.m., Free admission for members. News release from CHM. John Whitty will be speaking on the history of World War II and the post war effects of Coos County. Mr. Whitty was born in North Bend, OR and was almost 9 when the U.S. entered into war. Seven of his uncles served in the military. Mr. Whitty served in the U.S. Air force. After serving, he went on to become an attorney in the Coos Bay area for 60 years. Mr. Whitty is an author of two history books and is working on two more pertaining to our area. These events are free to all members. Not a member? No problem.
