Marshfield lost its OSAA First Round volleyball playoff match to visiting Cottage Grove 3-2 (10-25, 25-16, 17-25, 25-20, 15-13) Friday night in Coos Bay. The Lady Pirates season ends with a 14-8 record. The Lions advance to the OSAA 4A State Tournament Nov. 3 & 4 at Forest Grove High School. South Umpqua, co-league champions with Marshfield, fell 3-0 at Hidden Valley to end the Lancers season.
