Both North Bend and Marshfield completed the 2017 Prep Football Preseason with perfect 3-0 records following road wins Friday night. The Bulldogs traveled to Turner where they turned back Cascade 24-8, while the Pirates traveled to Junction City and beat the Tigers 38-6. The two Bay Area teams open 4A Far West League play this week with Marshfield (3-0) hosting So. Umpqua (1-2), North Bend (3-0) hosting Brookings-Harbor (0-3), and Douglas (2-1) at Siuslaw (0-3). On Saturday, Phoenix beat South Umpqua 28-27. Friday night, Siuslaw lost at Newport 49-0, Douglas won at Hidden Valley 32-8, and Brookings-Harbor lost 22-0 to The Dalles.
